Tutor Guidelines

Draft expectations for tutors on TeachApt. Verification, classroom conduct, and payouts still follow the product rules the owner configures.

Last updated: 22 October 2026 (draft)

1. Be accurate

Your headline, subjects, qualifications, and rates must describe the teaching you actually offer. Do not claim a verification badge or a result you have not earned.

2. Verification

Only tutors TeachApt has marked as verified appear in discovery. Complete onboarding, including any required assessment, and wait for review. Do not ask learners to skip verification.

3. Lessons and cancellations

Accept or decline requests in the product, keep the agreed schedule, and use the in-app tools to reschedule. Give learners enough notice when you cannot attend. Conduct lessons through TeachApt so attendance and escrow stay intact.

4. Safety and contact details

Teach minors only with a parent or guardian involved in the booking. Do not ask students to pay you outside TeachApt or to move the class off the platform to avoid fees. Keep messages respectful.

5. Payouts

Payout details must belong to you. Earnings follow the escrow and clearance rules shown in your wallet. This draft does not change those rules.
